Free Hindi Typing Course
Learn Hindi typing free — from zero to exam level
This free Hindi typing course takes you from the very basics to government-exam standard. Hindi typing on a computer usually uses one of two systems: Mangal (Unicode) with the Inscript keyboard layout, or the older Krutidev (Remington) font. Unicode/Mangal is now the standard for forms, websites and most modern exams, while Krutidev is still used in some offices and a few state exams. We support both so you can train for whichever your exam requires.

- Step 1 — Learn the layout. Memorise where the vowels (matras) and common consonants sit on the Inscript or Remington keyboard.
- Step 2 — Master the home row and build muscle memory with single characters.
- Step 3 — Type common words like और, है, में, को, से until they become automatic.
- Step 4 — Move to sentences, focusing on correct matras and half-letters (conjuncts).
- Step 5 — Practise full paragraphs at exam pace with a timer.
The most common Hindi typing mistakes involve matras and conjunct characters (e.g. क्ष, त्र, ज्ञ). Slow down on these during practice — accuracy now means speed later. Daily ten-minute sessions will take you to 25–30 WPM, which clears most government Hindi typing requirements.
