CPCT Typing Test — Hindi & English Practice
CPCT typing test — Hindi and English explained
The Computer Proficiency Certification Test (CPCT) is conducted by the Government of Madhya Pradesh to certify candidates for various computer-operator and assistant posts. It has two parts: an objective computer proficiency section and a typing skill test in both English and Hindi. The typing component is where most candidates need focused practice.
In the English typing test, you reproduce a passage and your speed is reported in net WPM after error deduction. In the Hindi typing test, you type a Hindi passage using a supported layout such as Remington (Krutidev-style) or Inscript (Mangal/Unicode). A defining feature of CPCT is its strict, fixed timing and a controlled environment where you cannot rely on shortcuts.
Start CPCT PracticeCPCT typing — what to expect
- Two languages: separate English and Hindi typing passages.
- Hindi layouts: Remington and Inscript are the common supported options — pick one and master it.
- Net WPM scoring: errors reduce your effective speed, so accuracy is critical.
- Strict timing: the test runs for a fixed duration with no extensions.
- Score validity: a CPCT score card is valid for a defined period, so plan attempts accordingly.
Our CPCT practice mode mirrors this strict, time-boxed environment and supports both Hindi layouts, so you build the muscle memory the real test demands.
